Happy mood activated as Lagos State (Oasis Football Club) progresses to the quarter final stages after defeating Sokoto State 4-2 on penalties. The game ended goalless in regulation time.
The boys left their hostel (Kano Guest Inn) with one motive, to defeat Sokoto State and move to the next stage of the competition (Ramat Cup 2018).

Before the game commenced, the MD/CEO of Oasis Football Club: Madam Gloria Auta encouraged the players to go for victory and it was a big motivation for the players to be playing in front of their boss.

Coach Wakeel Tunde made only one change from the starting lineup that lost to Edo State in the last group Match, Ali Yusuf who started from the bench in the last two matches was selected in today’s game ahead of Kumasi Moses.
The game started around 10:30am Nigeria time, at the Mahaha Sport Complex in Kano State.

Our boys outplayed Sokoto State in the opening 15 minutes of the game, in spite all their efforts the first half ended 0-0.
Sokoto State dominated the second half of the game as they mounted pressure on the defense line of Lagos State (Oasis FC U16) but Habeeb Azeez and the other defenders had answers to all the questions the team from the North were asking.
The second half of the game also ended goalless and penalty was inevitable.
Habeeb,Udofia, Samuel and Miracle all scored from the spot for Lagos while goal keeper Oyenuga Farouq saved the third penalty after Sokoto State second kicker lost his kick.
The game ended 4-1 in favour of Lagos state (Oasis FC U16)
Lagos State would face Borno State in the 4th Quarter final match tomorrow at the Mahaha Sports Complex, Kano State by 2:30pm Nigeria time.

Our boys had their dinner around 8pm and post match meeting 30 minutes after dinner.
